PS4’s Gran Turismo Sport has finally got a release date, and fans don’t have too long to wait.
Playstation’s next exclusive racing game, Gran Tursimo Sport, has gotten a much anticipated release date, as well as a stylish trailer showcasing some stunning graphics.
The popular racing franchise has been a staple feature on every iteration of the PlayStation since its release in 1997, and it is finally coming to the PS4 with a release date of October 18th this year.
The celebrated realistic racer will come with some impressive new additions, including VR capability and a bolstered frame rate and graphic quality.
However, in order to achieve these more impressive graphic settings, the game will be dropping dynamic time and weather, a feature which has proven popular with gamers in it for the realism.
Developers Polyphony have promised, however, that gamers can set the time and weather before they enter a race.
The announcement comes off the back of the ending of the games closed Beta, which looks to have made some big strides since it debuted back in May.
Polyphony seems to have learned from the games’ disappointing debut last year, and their updated version has paved the way for the series’ most real version yet.
As is instantly clear, the game looks gorgeous, and is apparently built from the ground up for 4K quality 60 FPS streaming.
The game has also been developed specifically for Playstation VR, which Polyphony calls the “future of motorsport”.
Combined with the advanced graphics, Gran Turismo Sport looks to be the most immersive racing experience yet.
Aside from the way it looks, other in game features promise to significantly bolster gameplay, as Gran Turismo Sport will feature advanced matchmaking that learns from the way you play.
The new matchmaking service measures how you drive in-game, and will match you with players of a similar level and with similar driving behaviour.
The more you race, the better the system will be at matching you with other people.
Of course, no title can claim to be a racing game without a huge selection of incredible cars to choose from, and Gran Turismo really excels here.
The game is adding some incredibly kitted out cars to its line-up, all of which look like they belong in the best professional racing competitions.
Perhaps the most powerful (and beautiful) car in the line-up is the Mazda LM55 Vision GT, which boasts an incredible 641 horsepower, making it the joint fastest car in the game alongside the Audi R18.
In addition, the game has teased all new tracks, including the Tokyo Express Way and the Fisherman’s Ranch.
Of course these cars and tracks are only the tip of the iceberg, as Sony has said that a full release of the tracks and cars is coming soon.
